What is MRS?

The Market Reconciliation System is our Flagship product. This system gives you, the Producer, information regarding your deliveries and related transactions - sales, amendments and payments, on the day they take place at the market. We provide the software, you get the data from our web site. You can track your information down to invoice number against each sale. This will help you to understand exactly what is happening at the market. Technofresh is recognized by the relevant Market Authorities and we have been endorsed by a number of Growers Associations. We have been around since April 2002 and it is our mission to be the provider of choice in the Fresh Produce Industry in South Africa.

This process flow diagram shows the separation of the Electronic Data flow to and from the Producer to the Market, and the physical movement of the produce.

Using information from the Delivery input, the Market Reconciliation System (MRS) will produce a comprehensive Delivery Note detailing the produce being sent to the market. This Delivery Note forms the basis of the tracking system and will accompany the produce to market.

Upon arrival at the market the MRS reference number is entered into the Market System by Consignment Control. The details of the Delivery captured by the Producer are then displayed to the Delivery staff for verification of the commodities and quantities. Once all Delivery details have been verified and confirmed, the Delivery is accepted into the Market's system for normal trade.

The above method is the preferred way of working, however we have adapted the system to allow for Producers to use their own delivery notes. We realise that many producers pack at night and so are unable to use the Electronic Delivery note. By using your existing delivery note you will get all your information back with a Supplier Reference that is made up of your Technofresh ID followed by your own Delivery note number. Most of our Subscribers use this merhod and it is working very well.

What is FRESH STATS?

Technofresh provides Market Statistics in the form of Daily Market prices and volumes, published on our Website as a subscription service to anyone who needs this information. This information is published twice daily and is also available in our History Archive as either text or graphs. Our History Archive begins March 2005.

What is Early Fax Data?

Certain Producers prefer their sales information to be available as soon after the markets close as possible. We provide a summary as well as detail sales report at 11.30 am via the Technofresh Website to Producers who register for this service. The report is a summary that can be viewed on our website or downloaded for use in a spreadsheet as well as for use in the MRS program. When used in the MRS program the detail sales information is available.
